Stupid low Mirror in shower but no mirror over small cabinet in room which contained a NON working refrigerator so that eliminated space which could have been better utilized. No towel bar despite plenty of room in massive shower. Tiny stand alone vanity had a mini sink with just 6” of counter space covered with 4 awkward boxes meanwhile 6” gap (wasted opportunity) on each side trapped everything that fell. Massive shower, full size bath products but clearly more concerned with looks than use. The room tight but “doable” for one guest. The Fieldhouse also has multiple meeting rooms that can be used for parties and meetings.Beautiful modern design but clearly no woman was consulted for bed/bath design. In addition to the arena, the Adventist HealthCare Fieldhouse has 2 locker rooms that can be used for events in the Fieldhouse or to be used for events held in Championship Stadium at the Maryland SoccerPlex. There is also the Fieldhouse Café, a light concession stand that offers light snacks and drinks to event guests! The indoor fields are 200 feet by 85 feet and do not have boards. The polyurethane finished floor allows for multiple sport and non-sport event configurations. In November, two synthetic turf fields are rolled out complete with netting for indoor soccer, lacrosse, field hockey, baseball, and rugby. The fieldhouse boasts a 46,000 square foot arena floor encompassing eight basketball and/or volleyball courts on a lined urethane surface from March to November. The basketball courts measure 86 feet by 46 feet, and the volleyball courts are standard size. From leagues, clinics, and camps to tournaments, conferences and parties, the Fieldhouse’s possibilities are endless. In the center of the park sits the Adventist HealthCare Fieldhouse, formerly known as the Discovery Sports Center. Maureen Hendrick’s Field is the only non-Major League Soccer stadium to ever win Field of the Year by the Sports Turf Manager Association, the trade association for the turf industry. It has been home to the Washington Freedom of the W-League and the Washington Spirit of the National Women’s Soccer League. Open Cup matches, Major League Soccer matches, international friendlies, the Atlantic Coast Conference Men’s, and Women’s Soccer Championships. Maureen Hendrick’s Field has hosted Lamar Hunt U.S. There is also a box office for events requiring paid admission. Championship stadium has a fully functional press box, sound system, video board, and scoreboard. The field is equipped with ground sleeves for professional soccer goals and rugby posts, as well as the ability for professional lacrosse goals. The perimeter of the stadium is surrounded by fencing to provide the ability to close access if needed. If needed, there is space for additional, temporary seating. The field sits low in a bowl-like stadium and is surrounded by 3,200 hard seats, with an overall capacity of 5,000. This exceptional field provides an intimate atmosphere to all games played here. In the center of the Maryland SoccerPlex sits Maureen Hendrick’s Field at Championship Stadium. The fields can be set up in multiple configurations for different age groups and sports. Fields are set up in pods of 2-5 fields and a parking lot to help with congestion and each pod has a permanent bathroom structure located near the fields. Of the 24 fields, 8 are Kentucky Bluegrass (cool-season grass), 10 are Bermudagrass (warm-season grass), 3 are a hybrid of cool-season and warm-season grasses, and 3 are synthetic turf. Our 24 fields are professionally maintained and have been nationally recognized numerous times throughout our history. (MSI), Bethesda Soccer Club, Damascus Soccer Club, Potomac Soccer Club, and the Washington International Soccer League. The SoccerPlex dream was also completed with the help of local clubs: Montgomery Soccer Inc. Opened in 2000, the Maryland SoccerPlex was built with a public-private partnership between the Maryland Soccer Foundation and the Maryland National-Capital Park and Planning Commission (MNCPPC). The Maryland SoccerPlex is a 24-field complex that welcomes more than 1 million visitors a year.
